I'm just peachy. I love being bossed around by 4 cats. <Sigh> I volunteered for the job, so I shouldn't complain, but just *once* I'd like to have the couch for a nap without having to shift umpteen pounds of cats first.

i love cats but i've only ever had 1 so i wouldn't know what it's like to have 4, i have 2 twin rabbits and when i let them have a run round i can never catch them to get them back in the cage in the end, it's a good job my brother's actually nice for once and helps me.

Right now, I have one sleeping on top of the cat tree, two taking up most of the couch, and one sharing my chair with me. Having 4 cats is only dangerous when it's suppertime or 'out' time. Or 'treat time' (which comes right after 'out' time because that's the only way I can get the cats inside). You learn to think creative with 4 cats and they learn to share just about everything. Except me.

The cat i had was more of an indoor cat, i let her outside and she ran off instantly and i didn't really want a lost cat and knowing the area i lived in at the time someone would of stole her anyway.

Mine are usually indoors, but when the weather's nice, I'll sit on the porch and let them out for a few minutes. Usually it's just long enough for me to have a coffee and a smoke. It's getting just a tad too chilly out these days to stay out for much longer than that. If the day is *really* nice, we'll go out twice, once to wait for the mail and once after my daughter comes home from school.

Yeah it is getting too cold these days. I came back from town today and i went up to my bedroom and it was freezing so i ran straight back downstairs to turn the heating on. I should have a bedroom that isn't an attic especially in winter

The landlord just had our attic and basement insulated. I have an even heat between the floors now and the thermostat is set lower to get the same heat as we did before. I like my landlord. Now if I could just convince him to do some weatherstripping, I'd be laughing for this winter's heating bills.

Wolfie, insulation is measured in R factors, not "Arrrggghhh!" factors. You need stuffin... You need batt..... Hmmm.... You need to put pink stu...... Ah, stuff it. Slap a picture of Peter Sellers on each body and use that for insulation.

I just shove my windows full of stuff. I'm in a sunken room anyhow.. so I can't see crap out of them in the winter.. And the window is built into the wall so it's adeep set... a folded up old comforter does wonders

Sunken rooms are the sunk... I have one of those. My window frames are sorta panned (dunno the word there, really) so they let in a bit more sun, but they're still dodgy as all hell..

Oh well, the less light that touches me (thereby weakening me
