Joomla, easy to incorporate?

I have clients who want to update their own sites.

I have researched and found Joomla to be the #1 cms software available.

Is joomla easy to implement to a already built and made website?
Is it hard to learn and to teach 'not so techy' people how to use the software to make basic changes to their site(s)?

Anyone suggest other CMS software?

Thanks

I love Joomla!.

How easy it is to merge with an existing site is a complicated, complicated question. It is never very easy to do that with any CMS or other kind of framework. Having said that, it's not any more of a major chore than any others are.

As for teaching others, well, most CMS are complicated. I think it's the easiest to use out of all the ones i've tried... but i wouldn't want to try and teach a non-geek how to use it.

If you really want an easier job, maybe try WordPress. Sure, it's a blogging platform, but many have used it as a simple CMS, including some big, big names.

Yeah i have heard Wordpress being used in that aspect.

I am also trying Macromedia Contribute (before they were bought by adobe).

I have tested it on a site the is prebuilt and it works great, except the site is built with a CSS layout and does mess up the layout in terms of overlay(FF) and knocking columns down (IE) if content isn't taken with precaution.

Everybody has their own preference, but I like Drupal 10 times over Joomla
