I have 1and1 for my host.
I am getting 404 errors when I click on a category.

now, there doesn't seem to be rule that that would match...

try replacing:

with

Code:

RewriteRule ^product-([0-9]+)/*.html product.php?cid=$1 [L]

sorry - i don't know what I was thinking about then... what I told you was dumb... sorry

anyway - i have had problems with 1&1 and rewrite rules before... didn't really get them resolved... I can't help right now - I'm at the office, and my notes on this are at home - will try and post back when I'm home tonight.
