I agree with AlexGrim to an extent.

I do feel that the background should go horizontal on the page, but I think you should make the height a bit smaller. Maybe have it repeat horizontal and with a height of like 200px or something. Have it fade out to black.

Since you do have quite a bit of stuff on the main page, the heading could be a bit larger. Don't overdo it on the size though.

The main thing which personally I do not like on the site is the fact that you have five different sections on the home page. It makes way too much going on. Although they look pretty, I think you can do without the quick links and the section directly above it. Try to condense the main page.

The flow of colors seems to work which is always a good thing.

I think the page naturally ends before the quick links page and with it carrying on it makes it really long. I do like the overall design but agree that the left and right hand sides should match
