Landing Page... Opinions Please? - HTML Forums

I have created a landing page for 2 student communities. I am unsure if I should use it or not when the site goes fully live:

Or should I scrap this page & have both sites go straight to the forum?

I think it has promise but you need to fix the width of the site, center and, and of course don't forget to make the links elsewhere to you site from within this landing page.

i think its alright to have a landing page. Just make sure its aligned at the center and if you may., choose a white color on the background rather than yellow., it kinda makes me sleepy.

I agree about your choice of color. I don't find it attractive. The word drab comes to mind.

I think you need to change the type/font, especially for the graphics. The one you're using now... it's a Lucida one, right? It looks overused and plain. Look at lots of fonts until you find a few that are fitting, and narrow it down from there, trying each one out.

Also, the blue for the hover graphics is unfitting. Maybe simply bold black text would work. Try things out.

I think it's otherwise okay. Give these tips a try, and good luck!
