this is a site about a place where i live. it's a small country place at south of Croatia, near a well known city Dubrovnik, check it out on google.

Cilipi has something about 5000 people including sorrounding area. The biggest city in that part of Croatia is as i said Dubrovnik, the leading place of adriatic tourism and more with its famous city walls. I made this site just bcs one reason, to gather and inform people of cilipi and nearby places about events, excursions, and other local things, like local poets, video works, achievements, photo gallerys, chat..etc. When i speak of photogallerys i ran in to a fine and great tool!

I was surprised by the quality of this gallery, it really looks wonderfull, its practical, very easy for begginers and it only has 44kb lol.

There are many talented photographers in my region so i also plan to make their galleries on www.cilipi.net including slide shows. I used photobuckets slide show which is great, i used url link for a pop up window which is not given by them when asking for html or url code, preview it in photobucket then took a code, works nice without ads. is there a better free alternative?

so, i published this site today bcz i had some problems with domain.
listen this right now i am in zagreb, the capital of croatia. i decided to go in this a bit more seriously and i decided to buy domain. at the same time my friend bought quad core and needed a new cooler. at the same day we ordered this two things, both from Zagreb. I ordered domain, imagine simple envelope with account, username, and pass inside, he ordered 15kg box with cooler and common stuff. My envelope was from a place called Senj 50kn from Zagreb and his box was travelling from Indiana U.s.a to Zgreb lol. His shippment came 5 days right now faster then my envelope. I had to write to this lazy lemurs today to send me info so i could login, and he is cooling his quadcore for 5 days...man. Croatian postal service...LOL.

try centering the layout for all browser sizes. right now it only centers for 1024x768 and looks wierd on all others. love the colors and overall look. the images at the bottom look out of place.

I can't understand a single word on the page, but the look is great! I agree with John that you need to work on some interoperability issues, but otherwise I give it two thumbs up!

it looks pretty nice for me and nobody complained so far...

centering...hmm? images disturbed?

that gif at the bottom, that space beetween 2 images?

If you site is a fixed width, which it looks to be, all it takes is placing the entire layout within a 'container' div and giving that container the margin:0 auto; css style.

Dont get me wrong, the site in general is very nice. As web designers we hafta assure that it looks just as nice for everyone else. Im assuming you are viewing it at 1024x768 which is what the site was built for. However as of January only 54% use that browser size. This means that about half your viewers won't see it like you do.

I say it looks out of place simply because the rest of the site looks like it has a specific structure. But these images look like they were just thrown in there at the end.

I dont mean to nitpick but you asked for an honest review. If you were to take nothing from what I am saying, your site would still look good so no worries

hey.
you have done a great job. But I think it should be in english bcoz you want other people to know about your city. And I guess this site is in your native language. So how would other people know about that if they can't understand. So I think you should also translate iti nto english.

Remaining website is very good. Design and colors choosen are very good.
But plz tell me whats wrong with this page?

And you main page's header looks very good. Use that to all the other pages. Don't change the header.

hey people thany for everything, i am trying to fix that centering and i am doing fine, nothing yet uploaded but i know the drill.

now i will answer some of your questions.

1. 54% wow, incredible, i am working on that for sure now

2. those images at the bottome are now replaced and i inserted a whole new row and trying to design it this moment in photoshop lol.

3. they were really scaterred

4. this site is primary in croatian and i dont have intensions translating it to english for a year for sure. the main reason is that i want to make a small portal of a place with news, forum, local sports and stuff.

i will definitely write an english version, good idea friend!

5. that akcije link works just fine but there is nothing right now except header

6. i will consider changing headers and moving news section and pther sections as well considering news throug joomla so i could log in everywhere and post new mesages, main page will suffer slight changes

7. Thank you all once agains, and post more of yozr comments.

One more thing. I am going to buy a Forum on my page so try clicking Forum link and tako a look at a skin that i designed.

could someone reccomend me a good chat for a page!

if it needs to pay a bti no problems. i am using a free version of addon chat which is simple and limited and i would like something better, i have a chat on froum but i turned that module off.
