I kid you not, the following happened right now. It confuses me, I would really like to know if this is normal behavior.
I opened up SmartFTP, which I use as my FTP client, I selected a file to download from a host computer, and got the following logs:
[09:43:19] 150-Accepted data connection
[09:43:19] 150-The computer is your friend. Trust the computer
[09:43:19] 150 144.0 kbytes to download
[09:43:21] 226-File successfully transferred
"The computer is your friend. Trust the computer"
That didn't seem right, I downloaded the exact same file and got the following logs.
[09:44:08] 150-Accepted data connection
[09:44:08] 150 144.0 kbytes to download
[09:44:10] 226-File successfully transferred
I closed down SmartFTP, re-opened it, downloaded the exact same file, and I cannot see the same untrusting message, only that once.
If I trusted the computer before, I definitely do not now. Damn you deceptively sneaky and untrusting computer!
Perhaps some form of spyware/virus? Strange, cos i'm certain I don't have anything, I use security software..
