Wow, I never knew this thread existed until Schmeaghead revived it almost a year later, now.
Had I known there was already a browser debate, I would have never made my own thread on it.
Anyway... my vote is for Opera...

I like Internet Explorer because of the add-ons you can get.

Most of those add-ons take up space and are more likely to contain adaware/spyware. Most, if not all, of those add-ons are included in the smaller, sleeker package of Opera. In addition, there's no wasted space!
You could also download Firefox and add on the desired toolbars, but (overall) they would take up more space than Opera, if that's an issue.. If not, then go for it! Both Firefox and Opera are protected more than IE and have much less bloated coding.
But if IE suits your needs, and you haven't had any problems (most people don't even realize that they have the adaware), then you should probably stick with IE... "Personal Preferance" as they say in my browser thread..

Things can change in a year, Juparis. *G*
I used to use IE so I could see what some people were talking about with their coding problems, but I find Netscape easier to use now. *e2eg* It's got tabs! And IE for the Mac doesn't.
Also, I find it easier to double-check someone's code if I'm using Netscape, rather than IE. Even if there doesn't appear to be a problem.

I like Opera because it allows mutiple site browsing with tabs and is more futuristic than Internet Explorer...

Firefox has tabbed browsing as well (I can't stick to one side ). Both are well advanced compared to IE. Although, I must confess, Opera's default tabbed browsing has got me hooked. I've tried to set Firefox to open all links into new tabs, but to no avail. (If any of ya know an answer, I'm all ears)
I'm curious to know what the next IE will be like, even though it's still a year off. I want to know how much will be improved, and if any new features are added...

why would you want ALL links in new tabs...
besides, all you have to do is right-click on a link.
I tend to use tabbed browsing when i'm staying in a domain, and a new window when I link out of it.
it also helps here with cross-posters - open their post-list in a new window, and all the cross-posts in tabs in that window - keeps it seperate from the other threads I have open here.

Right-clicking on every link gets annoying... And it's just something I prefer over having multiple windows open--tabs all the way! (And you still haven't answered my question )
As for IE, I still don't know if they're even aware of the ground they're losing as the biggest company out there.. Who knows...

All Hail Opera (7)
Opera 7 is great.
It has cool skins, built-in e-mail client, and a whole huge list of other wicked tools for web surfers & developers.
Two fatal problems: Adverts (unless you fancy paying $50... NOOOO!)
Lack of Transparent I-Frame support.
Other than that it's great.
However, I still do use IE and Firefox for testing my site, and I had to change the entire scripting of my page when Op7 came out!

if a new version is out...TabBrowser extensions for firefox allows all links in new tabs.
Also I foregot to point out that middle-click(on a scroll/3 button mouse) has similar effect.
