Married With Children...
We've seen threads about "Looney tunes" and "The Simpsons" and I really feel we should pay at least some tribute to the all too funny sitcom "Married With Children".


Some of my favorites are:

Al Bundy arriving home from a long day of selling ladies shoes, enters the livingroom to find Peg relaxing on the couch in front of the TV and eating bon bons, where she had spent her entire day.

Al: "Hey Peg, why don't you give the couch a break and.....cook something".


or


Al is relaxing on the couch after another gruelling day at work when Kelly comes and sits beside him and says:

Kelly: Daddy?
Al: Yes, pumpkin?
Kelly: uh! you made me forget!
(long silence while she tries to remember)
Kelly: Daddy?
Al: Yes, pumpkin?
Kelly: You made me forget again!
Al: (groan)
(long silence while she tries to remember again)
Kelly: Okay, okay, I got it! This time, when I say "Daddy", Don't say anything, Okay?
Al: (Silent look of disbelief)
Kelly: Daddy?
Al: (Silently waiting)
Kelly: Daddy?
Al: (Silently waiting)
Kelly: Daaaaddyyyy!
Al: (exasperated) WHAT?!!
Kelly: Oh, Man,...You made me forget again!

i havent seen alot of episodes but i remember this one that was really funny, i beilive it was a christmas episode where Al and the other guy he worked with were ready to open up the store and their were a bunch of women outside then Al got out riot gear to protect himself lol, thats all i could remember. like i said i never really watched it cause it was before my time but i'll try to catch it on TVland.

My mother never let us watch married with children because she considered it vulgar...same with Ren and Stimpy and You cant do that on television...I was so sheltered j/k

That is indeed a shame. What a rediculously funny show. It is absurd for the most part, which is what makes it funny. If you liked the simpsons, then you would enjoy Married With Children.

You can still catch reruns. It has been running now for some twenty years.

I would have to agree with your Mother on the ren and stimpy thing.
