Wellp

I found it kind of annoying, but my IT friend seems to like it quite a bit.

Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android. Google Chrome OS will run on both x86 as well as ARM chips. Google said it still had work to do to develop Chrome into a full-fledged operating system.

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. The OS will be designed to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web.

Google Chrome Features that we miss in other Web Browsers
1. Task Manager for Websites
2. Visual Browser History
3. Super Clean Contextual Menus
4. Search Your Favorite Websites from the Address Bar
5. See Memory Used by Different Browsers
6. Reopen Website tabs that you closed by mistake
7. Launch Websites from the Start Menu / Quick Launch Bar

Chrome might be OK for its speed. IMO. I use Firefox mainly and I think it might the most useful browser for webmasters and designers for there are always so many add-ons to use in help your daily jobs.

I just installed the Dev channel (4.0.222), so no I can use extensions (equivalent to FF addons). The first one I installed was Xmarks, so now all my browsers use the same set of bookmarks.

Cheers,
Sty

"Reopen Website tabs that you closed by mistake" is not unique to Chrome. I do it with FF.

Cheers,
Sty

Google Chrome is fast. But it still lacks the add-ons that firefox has. It still has a long way to go.
