Analytics - Keeping Track

Wow, bit of time since I've been around here! I actually ended up remembering about this site because I was checking out the Google Analytics for my blog, and I discovered HTML Forums was one of the referring sites to mine - I guess people are clicking the links in my sigs from my old posts!

Has anyone else dug up any little gems from their site metrics? And what do people use for keeping track these days?! I know at work we do a lot with the server logs for monitoring APIs and such, paired with a couple of frontend tracking systems for user behaviour too. For my personal sites I just use Google Analytics and occasionally verify with another system.

Well nice to be back, hoping to hear what you're all up to.

I don't really monitor incoming links and page views as much as I should for my own sites... I do see HF as a major referrer though when I do check in.

As for tracking tools - we've started using Piwik at the office - it has a pretty nice interface for the reports and admin, and it's open-source...

Ga

I use GA from my client's sites. I see a few clicks here and there. I love GA - it's the same as my own site's webmetrics from Godaddy. But I have to pay for it on Godaddy.
