What could I be missing? - HTML Forums

Hey guys,

Every now and then I stumble upon weird characters and I've never really seen them anywhere until recently. They look like this:

The page in question this time is here. What am I missing for it to display this way? Also, notice the chars next to where I marked, they also appear a bit..out there..

The site uses UTF-8, so I don't understand why it's not displaying properly. o_O Any help is appreicated. :-]

Try using ISO-8859-1. I find UTF-8 does weird things to some characters. It looks like your quotes are buggered.

It's not my site, I just used it as an example. But I've never ran into problems in the past using UTF-8. Perhaps it got something to do with retrieving data from the database, I had a hickup like that on my blog a while back where it wouldn't display Japanese characters until I changed the database-type-thingy to Unicode..
