I don't know if this is in the right forum but I was wondering if anyone knew how I'd go about creating a FTP server.
Do you need any special software?

You can create an FTP server using some very simple software. There are many to choose from, and some are free, if you look at http://www.tucows.com/ or http://www.download.com/ , or simply do a Google search.

Apparently FTPd by GuildSoft works quite well, according to a colleague. I accessed the site he made, and managed to pull a few files off it OK. I haven't visited the makers website, or seen the software running on the Server machine itself though.
