Cannot delete file - HTML Forums

Hi,

I downloaded a file (A music file from youtube), but it didn;t work properly and now i am stuck with an empty file on my desktop, it has no extension, it is just called "file", and whenever i try to delete/move it it errors and says it cannot read from the source file.

I tried turning the computer off and on, but it still won't budge.

How can i delete it?

Tried ridding of it in safe mode?

If you wish to use that file, add an extesion by renaming the file. Do you know which formati it is?
And If you want to delete it - try the following:
Create a file with the same name on your desktop and when the system asks what to do (the file ***.*** already exist...) and choose 'replace'. after it I suppose it would be possible to delete it.

I think this tiny tool would help you - unlocker. It could delete any files even if they are in use.

you can also do this with a "file shredder" or in cmd (can't remember what to write though)
