Bios/Windows XP boot issue - HTML Forums

So here goes. I attemtped to instal an ethernet card. Upon completion, pc wouldnt boot. I removed card and pc booted. I have an ASUS p5pe-vm motherboard. I know longer need the card for I have gone wireless. However, when I turn the pc on (without card installed) it shows the asus black bios screen. It gives 2 options 1.Del for setup(which is bios) 2. press f8 for post message. If i do nothing it hangs on that screen for close to 2 minutes, then goes to all black blank screen with flashing cursor for about 45 seconds, then begins to boot into windows xp. Is this a bios issue? Maybe need an bios upgrade? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attempted googling for close to 2 weeks now with no result or light in the proper direction. Thanks

hm... sorry to say, but you should either get a hold of the manufacturer or take it along to a shop.

resolving this kind of issue without actually being able to get hands and eyes on the computer in question is next to impossible.

Maybe you go to the bios,for better solution call the technician or computer shop...maybe your land card or ethernet card are not properly set up in bios...
