For the longest time, I resisted having to upgrade to a new OS. I *Liked* the Mac OS9.2. It worked just fine, did everything I wanted it to and was generally a nice, comfortable environment to work in.

Then I got the MacPro. MacPro's don't come with OS9.2. They come with OSX10.4 and lots of space to put things. There's only one thing that MacPros *can't* do (besides the dishes and I'm working on that). They can't talk to computers that use Mac OS9.2. <sigh> Back to the drawing board, right? Short of a miracle, there's no way I can get 60Gbs of information off my old computer and onto the new one, is there?

Putting a Mac together is a piece of cake, even for a raw beginner. They have all manner of little images on the main cables and connections and you just match the pictures to get your Mac up and running. I know several PC users who put nail polish on the plugs of their cables and matching dots of colour near the connection.

But what about the *insides* of the computer? LIke PCs, Macs don't have pictures on the internal components of the computer. Replacing a hard drive or a CD burner can be a major headache, even if you have the tech manual to look at. So how *do* you put your computer back together again?
