I have had two very different experiences of website domain registration in the last week.
I've always used free web space providers in the past. But on Friday last week I finally bit the bullet and registered my own personal domain. The company I used for this is 123-reg.co.uk. The registration and payment process was very simple, and the control panel for managing the domain is clear and simple to use. There's a good FAQ section, and the support options are e-mail (via online form), fax, telephone or snail mail. Ideal for somebody like myself who has no prior experience of this sort of thing. I am happy with what I have seen so far.
