Are there any Java applets for FTP uploading, that do not require the Java plug-in to be installed. I thought ultimate FTP used to be like that, but apparently not anymore. I want to make it as simple for the users as possible. I am anticipating that the majority of users will have difficulties installing the plug-in. So it will be nice to avoid that.

If you want to implement a Web based FTP client without requiring the user to install any plug-ins, you may wish to consider using something like net2ftp. There are similar products for .NET.

If you're not under any time constraints, you may wish to write one yourself.

Please note, your Web server will establish the FTP connection in this case. The Web server will begin relaying the file to the FTP server after receiving a portion of it.
