STOMPFROG is on a distinguished road
GD library image manipulation cross domain

Hi,

I am currently working with a third party API to pull in users avatars into a page.

When I display the image on my page I want to resize the avatars from the default size to my own specification (smaller and square).

I have successfully done this in the past when working with images on the same domain as the site but am having trouble doing it with images on another domain.

Is this just plain impossible to do or is there a clever way to approach it?

I have got the following working...

Code:
<img src="http://mydomain.com/resize.php?src=http://mydomain.com/my-img.jpg&h=70&w=70" />
But this is borked...

Code:
<img src="http://mydomain.com/resize.php?src=http://api.com/their-img.jpg&h=70&w=70" />
Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.

Cheers

Guessing your resize.php uses fopen(url), try fsockopen or curl instead
