Display an un-saved "HTML page"?

I'm writing a server program that will create and deliver HTML to the client. Most of the time it's AJAX requests, not entire "pages". URL changing is happening only in the normal manner, when the user clicks to go to a different HTML file.

But now I need to generate entire pages. Since every one will be unique, every time it is generated, I'd rather not save these pages as actual files on the server.

Is it possible for a server to display a "limbo page", not saved, but displayed as normal, with a dummy URL, and HTML code just generated by the server?
