Amazon S3 and FTP

I run the website backupalicious, a web service for managing website backups.

Currently we automatically backup websites to our servers, but we'd like to use Amazon S3 for our backup. However, due to the constraints of cpanel, we need to backup via FTP. Is there any way to backup to Amazon S3 via an ftp account?

If not, any ideas would be welcomed.
