Understanding on SEO

guys based on your understanding and experience in SEO, can you define SEO in your own words? And isn't that the SEO uses this own strategy and techniques to make the keywords optimized?

SEO simply defined in my opinion would be

Keywords
Content
Backlinks

somewhere within there, the "coding" used within the sites actually matter too.

at least that's what I've learned so far.

SEO is the process of fine tuning (otherwise referred to as optimising) your web site to reflect specific keywords and phrases that your target market are searching for online.

This optimisation is carried out not only on your web site's home page, but its sub pages as well, if many of your pages are optimised for different keywords and can be found in the search engines, they will draw more traffic
to your website.

I like that one and good luck!

Too often people focus on backlinks first, then some content, then their keyword research (if at all). Which is just about the opposite of how you should approach this.

When we develop content, not only do we want smart content, but content that has been littered with a few key phrases we'd like to show up in SERPs. We often find that not only are longer tail phrases easier to get SERPs for, but they often drive better quality (higher conversions) traffic.

SEO is making sure that users who want to find the benefit that your site provides can find it via the seacrh engines.

Sometimes it becomes researching what benefits your site should give the users.

Search engine optimization is often about making small modifications to parts of your website. When viewed individually, these changes might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined with other optimizations, they could have a noticeable impact on your site's user experience and
performance in organic search results.

The most important factor is the site's content. Then try to do some SEM work to make your site get more traffic and higher PR.
