Website promotion - HTML Forums

My site is slowly getting more and more hits (over a few years....). I have been looking at professional services to help me out with my site but not only do I have to sort through a lot of bogus crap but I also do not have much money to spend on marketing as I just graduated from high school and my site has only made me so much. Does anyone know of a cheap service or has any advice for what I can do to help improve my search engine ranking.

I have done....
1) HTML optimization
2) Link trading
3) Content
4) Alt tags
5) URL Rewrite
6) Articles
7) tags
8) and many other things that I cant remember.

Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.

Have u done Directory submission,keyword analysis, website analysis,bookmarking, blog submission, forum submission.

I think in a month u should change the content or look of your site.
understand the user requirement and observe that on which page most of the visitors are coming.

include submission to social bookmarking sites and web directories.

Go to a bookstore, or your library, head to the computers section and look for some books about web traffic and seo. There are offline resources and they are great

i promote using.,

- social bookmarking,
- article submission,
- blogs,hubs, lenses creation
- RSS
- web directories submission
- forums
- do follow blogs commenting
- do follow sites.
- banner or link exchanges

1. Avoid strange color combinations, as this can make it hard to read for a viewer
2. Text that is too small to read will also cause the reader to leave
3. Unrelated Advertisements will distract viewers
4. Hidden text, which is text the same color as the background

5. Submitting your site to FFA sites

Don't forget aboutt the sitemap.

An XML Sitemap (upper-case) file, which you can submit through Google's Webmaster Tools, makes it easier for Google to discover the pages on your site.

Using a Sitemap file is also one way (though not guaranteed) to tell Google which version of a URL you'd prefer as the canonical one
