manual vs automated

Why is automated submissions in web directories so badly frowned upon?

Isnt it just smart outsourcing?

In my opinion it dosen't matter since if you know how to do it, it can go undetected and pass as manual submission.
But most of web directories nowdays ask for verfication which is hard to automate

I agree. Time is money... So time saved is money earned or... well

Even so, you might benefit slightly from tailoiring headlines and descriptions for each directory

Manual submission gives guarantees quality, if you use automated submission there's a risk the software you're using won't find the necessary category and submit your link to the wrong section where it will be deleted from by directory mods.

I prefer manual submissions. Although saying that it is much slower, but much more accurate.

directory submission had been abused by some automated or semiautomated submission software available for free use online. phpLD directory, are the usual target.

I must admit there is nothing wrong with automated submissions, but then people went to far and started spaming the directories, sites were put in wrong categories, sites listings were not meeting the directories submissions cretiera, etc.

I owned a directory in the past so I know about this as I had hundreds of automated submissions and then had to stop them.

Instead of automated submissions by the softwares, one could prefer manual submission services. They do the work with quality in behalf of us.

I think that manual submission better becouse of reability. Or better automated + manual checking.

Manual submission implies you check the directory before submitting to it, since it guarantees your site won't be penalised.

I usually spend about 10 minutes each day submitting to a new directory. I have a list of about a dozen sites with titles, urls and descriptions. I locate a new directory, and then submit my sites. I've been doing this for a long time and it works well for me.

I have to agree manual is the way to do it, although time consuming, and boring You can always get a plug in for FF, which you can set up for auto form fill-in with a click save having to fill out submit forms.

CAn't remember the name of extension...I will check desktop when i get home...sorry about that...

Manual is the key. Automated submission doesn't last long and will consider as spams.
