Got Effective Article Submission Tips? - HTML Forums

So I have been submitting my articles to the major article directories, I think I have a pretty good tactic, but I still haven't seen any traffic from it. Is article submission the way to go, or have you guys found something else out to generate traffic?

Hi Jon,

Maybe what you consider the major article directories are not as major as you believe. Are they niched for your topic, or are they general? What genre of articles are writing, and what websites are you submitting them to?

The basics of article writing are the same as when you write offline. First, it has to be interesting. You can just read some articles online and try to come up with one article having all the info you have read, given that you are reading on the same topic, however. I'd say for online writing, primarily, it's your writing style that matters; so to improve your style if you don't have the in-born talent in writing, you should read a lot and learn from the masterpieces of the great writers.

I'm sure that each article you submitb to the dirrectories must be unique one at least for the SE.

Keywords in the first sentence - When you use your keywords in the first sentence, you have accomplished two very important things - first you have reminded the reader what your article is about and second your article will get picked up more easily by the search engines.
Short, information packed articles - The longer the article the less likely it is to be read. It takes more work to pack good information into a shorter article but it is worth the work because it will be read more often.
These two tips gonna help u to create an article body that is attractive to the reader.

I think that article directories are more helpful towards to SEO side of things. I'm not certain however. EZine articles list you're articles on the front page if its approved. That could drive traffic?

One tip here is Small bites of information and text!

Keep your paragraphs to 3-4 sentences max. Break your information down into small and easily readable chucks of text.
