curious to what your webpage is about.

Linking Strategy – link popularity is one of the most important factors in ranking, links from popular information hubs will help your site rank be higher than

those from low traffic sites.

Traditional Strategy - print advertising, be sure to include your URL in any display or classified ads you purchase in trade journals, newspapers, yellow pages,

etc.

E-Mail Strategy – Install a "Signature" in your E-Mail Program so that you can keep in touch with your customers. Don’t spam!

Miscellaneous Strategy - Announce a Contest, people like getting something free or gift certificates.

Paid Advertising Strategy - Begin an Affiliate Program and purchase Pay Per Click (PPC) ads.

Are there also any good ways to promote your site offline like having a cafepress shop to hand out tshirts to friends and such? I think i have the online portions covered i just would like to expand with local seeing as i live right outside a major city.

I think before you promote your site, it is also important to make your site easy to naviagte.

The navigation of a website is important in helping visitors quickly find the content they want. It can also help search engines understand what content the webmaster thinks is important.

Although Google's search results are provided at a page level, Google also likes to have a sense of what role a page plays in the bigger picture of the site.
