One file on two servers for faster downloading - HTML Forums

There are download managers (such as DAP, etc.) which can download parts of files from different mirrors and assemble them on the same pc.

Your users will need one of these installed to download the file, or you could send them your own download manager. If using a ready made download manager they'll need to enter the urls of the two mirrors of the file.

Ok i have a apache site on my pc and a web server for my web site.

I have around 2Mbps upload from my pc(port 80 is blocked so i use port 7000) but my site downloads files at a max of 200kbps. Can i put this file on my faster web server and then have both my pc and my web server have the same file. so when people download it from my pc it will come from both my pc and my web server.
