BIND is the de-facto standard for DNS software on any *nix platform. I truthfully haven't heard of NSD before your post. It seems to be another solid choice.

Yeah bind is probably the best.

Yum install bind

will probably do it

One tip. Install WEBMIN . It makes life much easier to administrate the server and bind.
