Hi,

I want my page to look good for all visitors. I had set it up so that it would be the full size of the screen in 800x600 but when I went down to 640x480 for something part of the page was pushed to the side. (You needed to scroll both ways to see the page. Up and Down and Side to Side). Is there anyway you can put something to make the page be the full screen in all sizes of resolution. mail.yahoo.com has the ability to do this. Any help would be thanked.

Regards,

Hi top47,

The easiest way is to use tables with percentage values instead of fixed pixel values for the width attribute. Like the yahoo page you mention. For images that are too wide to fit into a 640 x 480 screen resolution there isn't really anything practical to do, just try and keep images below a certain width so they display fine at lower resolutions. According to http://www.thecounter.com/stats/ only 8 percent of monitors are set to 640 x 480 resolution. If those few visitors need to scroll a little I don't see that being a big problem. They are probably used to scrolling anyway...

Regards,
kevin
