Question Newbie question, thanks for help!

Hi everybody,

I've been trying to turn my store's name (text) into an image using the font I have been using for 10 years, Vivaldi. I can't find ANY sort of online program to help with the relatively simple thing. Any ideas??? Or a better place to post?? Thanks a ton!

RysChwith will become famous soon enough
Is there any particular effect you're looking to create with the text, or do you just want the text as a graphic? If it's the latter, you can find some free image editing programs (Gimp comes to mind, but there are others). If it's the former, the same answer most likely applies, but which effects your after may influence which program you'll want.

if you need help doing this

I would be willing to throw the characters into an image and send you the image, or post it somewhere you can get to it.

Just give me the name of the business and the way you want it laid out

I appreciate the help..

Hi, I'm sorry for the delay in replying to your posts, I've been trying to do this myself. You know, teach a person to fish...... I tried "Gimp" and has some luck, but it's a bit beyond my skill level. I couldn't figure out how to use it effectively, mainly adding a background to the text image. I have to give it up, I'm pulling my hair out! Here's what I have so far, the first is the image I created and the second is the background I use on my site. I'd love to be able to do this myself and is sure seems like it would be easy, but I'm stumped. Thanks for any advice or help!!!
Mary

I forgot to mention that the size doesn't need to be exactly what I have already created, anywhere in the ballpark is great.

You can use Coreldraw to do this. This software supports all such features. Install Coreldraw, and let us know. Then I will guide you through the process.
