  • How To Add Video To My Site That Can't Be Downloaded

I have a few videos and a few audios that I want to add a page of my website.

The only time I've been involved with videos was to embed a few from Facebook on my blog.

I don't want the videos or audios to be downloaded or copied to another website by the viewer.

How do I do that? What code would I use? Does anyone have a link to instructions they like on how to do that?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Coots... and a Merry Christmas and Boxer Day to you!

Yes, someone who knows... or uses an app to do so -- can go in the back and get the code.

I want them to be able to just listen to it (audio) or watch it (video)

But I don't want it to be like facebook, where they give the code way to embed it with a click here and there.

What code would I use to show the videos and audios on my site?

This is a good place to start learning the basics...
        Using HTML5 audio and video

          This Might Help...

          HTML Code:
          <video oncontextmenu='return false' ></video>

You would need to write a new version of the internet. The current version doesn't allow for what you are asking everything online is downloadable.

You can download off facebook and youtube. You can make a video private by way of an email etc. You can create a download link to a video stored on an inaccessible area of your computer. As far as streaming video is concerned every video you watch online is downloaded to a temporary folder created by your browser it plays from there and then is deleted when the video is over. If you want a video stream like a live rugby match you would use rtsp or mms

If you have something which you do not wish to share with
the rest of the world then do not publish it on the web.

That is the one and only solution.

There are no ifs or buts.

uhh...just disable right click and protect the server file...call your hosting company and they can walk you through the process, if they are a good hosting company...I wouldn't ask a $1 hosting company...lol

Disabling right click doesn't always work. I've been to sites that claim their images are not downloadable and I had no problem doing it with my Mac.

                        That is just juvenile gibberish.
