  • I'm going nuts, Coot. CSS positioning and animation aren't working right.

    Coot, could you help me out? The animation on the main page is missing images. There should be 14, but only 4 and a blank slot show up. Also, the Support Our Community is supposed to be on the lower right corner of the animation. The three divs, part 2, part 3, part 4, are supposed to be beside part 1 in a line, not below it. Here's the link to the page where I got the animation from: https://www.smashingmagazine.com/201...ing-slideshow/ And here's the link to the page as I see it http://www.shareamealfoodbank.com/PAFB/index.php

    Hi there Peg,

    let's see if we can return you to your normal self.

    Fourteen images in a CSS slider, of course, does require quite a lot of arithmetic.

    Check out the attachment to see the fruits of my labours.

    I assume you are aware that your pages are not responsive.

    This really is a no-no in this day and age of small devices.

      Hi there Peg,

      I have looked at your http://www.shareamealfoodbank.com/PAFB/index.php page
      and it appears that there is a problem with this...

      Code:

      <div id="leftside">
      <img src="images/pafbnewlogo.png" alt="Prince Albert Food Bank Logo">
      <!-- closes leftside --></div>

      I would suggest that you replace this...

      Code:

      #leftside img {width: auto;}

      ...to this...

      Code:

      #leftside img {display:block; width: 50%; margin: auto;}

        Thanks for all your help, dear. (((hugs)))

          Hi there Peg,

          I notice that the header is below the logo on your contact page.

          This snippet...

          Code:
          #contactus  h1{position:relative; z-index:1;}
          ...will take care of it.

            That's sorted out a couple of pages. I just need the contact form to straighten out and fly right. <sigh> Damned tables! Thanks, coot. (((hugs)))
