  • do follow or no follow?

can any one simply explain this???

When building back-links do-follow links have more weight than no-follow. No-follow links give you much more link juice.

You want both, if you have both you will appear natural to Google. I include both and that way I don't raise suspsicion to Google.

In Do follow links you are getting the PR and Google crawling through that site. But in No follow, you are not getting the PR and Google crawling. But it can help you to get the visitors to your site. So, no follow links are not useless. Most of the blog comments are no follow.Still blog commenting is one of the most effective method of the Off page optimization.

Dofollow is actually the default. Nofollow links are pointless to buy.

Dofollow and nofollow is a HTML link tag. Dofollow links Google crawls watch and nofollow links are not in googles search.

The 'No-follow' rule was Google's creation and such not all search engines recognize it. Meaning, although Google doesn't consider nofollow links for ranking, we can still be getting a chance of some traffic from smaller search engines like Yahoo & Bing.

                  Re:

In my point of view dofollow is great to get back to your site as it help improve your sites authority and helps its Google rankings - No Follow links have little to no influence in this respect.

do follow links are those links which says to follow them and take back links from them but no follow is totally different. i mean opposite.
no follow links are not helpful for getting Google PR.
                    thanks

A no-follow link from high authority site is much better than a do-follow link from low quality site.

They are attributes that are put into the anchor tag. The do-follow attributes tell the search engine to count that link as credible or with PR weight.

Do Follow links are what everyone wants. No Follow links are also helpful but not as much.

                            do follow or no follow

All links are dofollow, unless they have the nofollow tag.
Nofollow means that the links are up there on the page, but the tag tells the search engine spiders NOT to follow these links. This is done because if you have a very highly rated website, and you put links on it towards another website, this other website will get a higher rank too in the search engines (important website links to other important website: makes google and others think that the other website must be important too!).
It is said that Google DOES follow NOFOLLOW links, and does index them, but doesn't give these links all the credit that a regular (dofollow) link will get.
Nofollow was introduced to punish blog-spammers, since they were cramming the comments with links to their websites, without making any valuable contribution.
Loads of bloggers have introduced dofollow now, where they removed the nofollow tag, and by doing that are promoting commenting on their blogs again. It does take a bit more time to filter out spam and such, but it does reward your readers and commenters.
All links in Yahoo! Answer's answers, and in the source have the nofollow tag btw.
If you are a FireFox user, there are some plugins available that visualise the nofollow tags for you.
