  • Cron Job Help - URGENT

    Hi All,
I have recently moved to a webhost that does not support cron jobs (sigh) and I need to run a cron job in order to update lists on my site every 10 minutes. I can do this from a third party domain I have setup for something else... I was wondering if anyone could give me the code that is required to do this from a third party site as I have tried the following and none have worked:

    Code:
    php -n www.mysite.com/listupdate.php
    Code:
    -n www.mysite.com/listupdate.php
    Code:
    www.mysite.com/listupdate.php
I could really use some help with this as I need to get this back up and running ASAP.

    Thanks in advance!
    Spooke

I think you are looking for curl.

If you have a url to request you can do it with

    curl [URL]

I'm also after the same answer. I'm stuck on the fence between a third-party service or just buying a Raspberry Pi to do all my crontasks (newbie Linux user here, might be saying that wrong)
