After I received an email notification from Rosier, I visited
the site but could not see the post in LATEST TOPICS...
    .

It was not displayed on WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT forum...

Now that is definitely buggy, don't you think?

Also note that the HOME page - index.php - does not validate...

    Uh oh!

No validation, we must reach our hands to the sky and scream for retribution!

I joke, of course; validation is very important!

I have also noticed issues specifically with the New Topics section, I can't even access it

Allegedly my search is not refined enough

But then again, I tend to miss out on the bugs you're finding; considering you seem to beat me to almost every post!

vBulletin® Version 5.2.1 is so slow at loading pages that I am losing the will to live.

Nothing works as you would expect and hope for.

      Look at this...

The first two topics, according to "hover" indicate that they are in the HTML/XHTML forum.

I go to the forum and they are nowhere to be seen....

HTMLForums sadly, is a just a forlorn shadow of it's former self.

Because there were duplicates, two of them were removed. That could be what you're seeing, Coot.

WHAT'S GOING ON, is obviously an apt title for the box.

vBulletin® Version 5.2.1 is starting to really piss me off.

I tried to edit post #6 and what happened?

The bloody stupid thing created post #7 instead.

I would suggest that you put vBulletin® Version 5.2.1 back in it's
box and get something that works vBulletin® Version 4.2.2 OK.

Yeah, I did see that coot. I thought it would catch up with it's self but I see it didn't. Slowness is irritating me as well and it is currently being looked into.

I also get the not logged in feature. Apparently the "Remember Me" doesn't really remember. lol

I have edited posts before and it never created a new one. so that could be another feature. We can't go back to any lesser version as this version changed the database so much it would be rather difficult to go back. Besides, 4.x version is not supported anymore.

I saw an upgrade/update for 5.2.2 when I was in the admin section. Would that cost us extra in time/money?

It would be no cost, but not sure it will fix anything. It came out right when we upgraded. I'll look into what it fixes

Vbulletin 5 is extremely slow and buggy. It is really hard to use. You should have upgraded to something better like xenforo.

Well, if HTMLForums was thinking of killing of this site, then they could not have chosen
a better version than vBulletin® Version 5.2.1 to do the job.

The site takes longer to load today than it did fifteen years ago when I was on dial-up.

Fifteen years ago I used to get email notifications, today I get none.

I presume that non email notification applies to all members, because I find, more
often than not, that new members never return to see replies to their problems.

It is really sad for me to see the decline of this once unique forum, mainly because
of basic technical problems that have never been seriously addressed.
