  • ~Jumped ship?~

It seems that the captain, "Jason", and his first mate, "Scoutt", have jumped ship?

Neither have been seen on board for almost two months.

    Please do not panic.

Hopefully "Pegasus", the second mate, who has has remained loyally at her post, will
guide those of us who remain bravely through the troubled waters that surely lie ahead.

Well, that wasn't very nice of them!

I'm sure you'll do fine though, Peg!

What a motley crew we are.

A Canadian cat carer, two nutters from Surrey and a bunch
of mumbo jumbo love potion spammers from India.

Well, I've been ditching the spammers just as soon as they come on board, but to be honest, the boom that Scoutt lowered when he adjusted the spammer parameters does most of the work.

Yeah, but the how escapes me, at the moment. It's hard to help people when they don't have questions that we can answer.

The decline of HTMLForums started more than four years ago.

The main contributing cause of this, in my humble opinion, was the failure to
resolve the problem of email notification of replies to subscribed threads.
Post: - I have suddenly stopped receiving emails for replies to subscribed threads
Unfortunately, there is no cure for this terminal condition.

                HTMLForums is a dead parrot.

I thought we'd solved that problem, in part, by deleting a lot of old names that didn't post/\were banned. I think it's going to take the PTB for the internet to catch up.

Well, for me, receiving email notification of replies to my subscribed
posts is still unreliable to say the least.

And we no longer have "scoutt" to even pursue the problem.

It's nearly four months since he was last seen around these parts.

I'm still here. *lol* I've just been really busy this month, between a craft display and sale that I'm working, the food bank and NaNoWriMo. My cats hate me because I haven't been around to make a fuss over them.

                              Hi there CatGirl6369,

It is more than likely that you will not receive email notification of replies to your posts.

I don't receive any to mine.

It makes me very sad to say this, but, for all intents and purposes, this site is dead.

Not only is the latest version of vBulletin - 5.2.1 - worse
than useless, but the technical staff here who attempted to repair it have all jumped ship.

If you have problems that need resolving, then I would suggest that you take them to one of
the following reliable and lively coding sites...
