Flash wont work when uploaded to server

Hi all,
I’m a complete newbie to this and would appreciate any help that’s on offer.
I have created a basic php webpage in Dreamweaver with a Flash slideshow imported from Fireworks (player_black.swf) and this works perfectly fine on my local host (pc). Now, when I upload this to my server (public_html) it doesn’t work. I uploaded: player_black.swf, slideshow.php and slideshow.xml exactly as it is on my local host, but with no joy!
Is there something that I’m not doing correctly?
All help will be much appreciated.

have you remembered to change any image locations et cetera in your xml to point to your server rather than a local address?

Hi Arkles, and thanks for responding so quickly.
Can I just add that I may not have explained my problems fully. When I say Flash doesn’t work; I mean the whole page appears to be collapsed with the header and footer just a couple of inches apart - yet when viewed via local host everything runs fine.

Hi RysChwith,
Thanks for responding to me – it’s much appreciated.
Here is the link: http://www.amandaryan-studios.com/slideshow.php

I have included a couple of screen shots of how the site looks in Dreamweaver on my local host.

Hope this helps you?
Thanks
Paul

It's not loading because it uses a JavaScript function to embed it in the page, but that function isn't defined anywhere. Either there's a .js file you neglected to include or some code you forgot to copy into the page.

Although, honestly, that JavaScript is no longer necessary. There was a span of time when IE required it due to some bizarre legal shenanigans, but that's since been repaired. Just remove the <script> and <noscript> tags in the vicinity of the Flash and you should be fine.

Hi Rys,
I’ve done it! Thanks to you. You got me thinking when you suggested that I may have neglected to include a .js file so I backed tracked to the beginning and I found the java file that you were referring to. Sorry to have troubled you unnecessary.
Cheers
Paul

When you created the flash movie it should of created a file for you, a .js file that allows flash content to be played on you're website, upload this file and you're set
