I have looked at cube cart and even installed it. It seems ok.
My advice would be to install a local server (I use a program named phpdev which takes care of all settings) and then put the carts to the test. Before you upload them on the officila server you can play offline on your own apache and see which one is the best for you.

yeah, not sure what type of web server you have but what dojo recommended is a great tip to follow.
Get something working locally. Tweak with a bit. Test em all out.
What works for one person with carts may not work for another. Only you can really judge what's the best for your site because only you really know what you need now and what you might need in the future.

@ onggie -
I am in a similar boat where I am now looking at various products for implementation on a site. What was your experience from your investigations?

of the open source carts i have tried (and i have tried nearly all of them) none of them compare to the ease of use of ZenCart. ZenCart is my recommendation, the cart runs like it should and can be customized to fit your needs and the help i received in the forums to get it running is fantastic.

I'd suggest yahoo's small business hosting plan (they have a shopping cart option there). It's yahoo, it's gotta be secure!

We use ProductCart, and we could not be more pleased with it.
We previously had used Comersus and Miva, and ProductCart blows them both away.
So easy to setup and use!
You can check it out at: www.productcart.com

I am suggesting you for a different shopping cart other than you provided on your list.Zeuscart provides the better solutions to make your online business a quite easy one and it is the best open source shopping cart software.

No matter what shopping cart you choose to go with you need to switch fm your shopping cart to different one. You can use cart2cart web service to migrate all your data to the shopping cart of your choice ( www.shopping-cart-migration.com)
