Do you know a good European based online shopping cart software?
Hello,
I am webmaster in a lottery company. I have two questions:

1/ We are looking for a good European based shopping cart software. We currently use 1shoppingcart.com which is pretty good for what we want to do, but I have been asked to search for a European one. We particularly would like some mailing features (auto-responders, broadcasting) in addition of the proper selling and secured process.

2/ Do you know if it is better to have a European shopping cart when you want to sell products in Europe or if it doesn’t matter?
We just wonder if ethically you should use a European one, because you sell product in Europe and because you represent a European company.


So far, I have noticed in my research that 90% of the online shopping cart software are American. The others are most of the time based in UK.

If someone is aware of this market or knows a good online software, please let me know.

Did you know that oscommerce is German based and is an excellent shopping cart?

Well, the best payment processor I actually know is moneybookers, they also have shopping cart capabilities, they are european, and can process payments from worldwide, also, the payments are secure and irreversible, so you don't have to worry of chargebacks, you may take a look of them at moneybookers.com

But, if you want a shopping cart in your site, you may use oscommerce, it is very powerful, but this only the shopping cart, you must use a payment processor with it.

Yep oscommerce is pretty nice shopping cart that you can easily develop and modify as per your need, it is well supported by chronopay ( www.ChronoPay.com is a reputed and reliable The Netherland based european company), their charges is quite reasonable and have excellent 24x7 support system.

My vote goes to CubeCart. They are a UK based firm. I have good luck with their cart system.
