Give me alternatives to GoDaddy

I've used GoDaddy for my domain registration and web hosting for my last two domain names. I don't have any big complaints, but GoDaddy overall is a bit irksome (big, confusing, poorly designed site; mediocre customer service; etc.). I'm not quite sure why I initially chose GoDaddy... but I haven't used any other services yet.

Can anyone recommend some web hosting/domain services other than GoDaddy? I'm not looking to host any big projects, just small personal and business sites. I don't have too much money to spend.

Sorry if this is a too common question... but share your experience with me. What worked for you?

Thanks.

Siteground.com, Bluehost.com and Marblehost.com, they are hosting services providers but offer free domains as well. in their packages.

I think Namecheap.com can be a great alternative to Godaddy, as they as well offer domains with significant discounts and shared/reseller hosting services with in-house support.

Never buy domain name and web hosting in the same place!
I would recommend you separate that. Got domain name say on the Godaddy and web hosting in other place. For good shared host my recommendation is MMhosting.com

A gree with Deviart. Host your domain(s) separate from your web host provider. In this case, you have the full control of your domain. In case you are not satisfied with your web hosting then you can move to another hosting with less hustle, just modify the name server of your domain yourself.

Good alternative might be found at sibername.com. Very attractive prices and nice hosting services. Never met any negative feedbacks about it.

This company is running for quite a long time, and is ICANN-accredited. I suppose there is a sence in looking up their site.

sibername.com is not only ICANN- but also CIRA- and EURID-accredited registrar. I would prefer going with them, surely if you like the price.

BTW, they have nice hosting options as well..

If you need domain services I'd go with EuroDNS.com. As this company provides many discounts on their domains, you may reg them cheaply.
As for hosting services you may use them from ServerPoint.com or Site5.com. Their services are rich-featured and low-cost that any web masters may afford them to use.
