never used DB b4 need help - HTML Forums

not sure where to start with the help i'm needing so i'll just give the link and ask if someone could help me get this configured

will take you to the page then there will be a warning saying "...Could not connect to database! Please check your database setup in config.inc.php by using the POC Installer!..."

click to use the installer the first step (of 4) is ok but the second step i'm not sure what i need to do to find the info that i need...i have the username and password but not sure about the rest....but one question about the user name...i have one that is "username" and another that is "username@111.11.1.1" what one would i use for that i'm thinking the second one cause when i try the first one the installer wont load up the second step

if anyone could look at this and help me out with it i would greatly appreciate it

1.) This installer shows what I would assume is your username and password, a SERIOUS breach in security
2.) There are no existing databases, so you have nothing to which you can connect
3.) Using "username@%" will allow you to connect locally or remotely, "username@localhost" is more secure as you can only connect from scripts run from your server, and "username@111.11.1.1" will only let you connect from a machine at IP "111.11.1.1"

I would consult the provider of this product for any further support.

ok got the install part fixed and got to this part

Where is ADOConnection declared? Is it being declared? Is it in some way from a different version of this product to be failed as incompatible?

i downloaded a whole package for this so not sure if it's something else where or something in this file
