Drop-Down Menus Hidden Behind Content Below

I was approached with the task of figuring out why the drop-down menus on http://www.connectwithscott.com don't show up in some browsers. I was able to get as far as determining that it was almost never a problem of them "not showing up," so much as the drop-downs were going behind the content below, effectively hiding them from view or click. On my PC, the menus work fine in FireFox (any version), but Internet Explorer 8 (compatibility mode turned OFF), that's when they get hidden behind the following content. I tried replacing the JavaScript-heavy menus currently in place with something more dependent upon CSS, but the result is the same -- Firefox renders it perfectly, Internet Explorer 8 (with compatibility mode turned OFF) screws it up. I have suspicions that this may have to do with the Table element being used to layout the page...

Anyone with any insight or clues or answers?

EDIT: Found the problem. The webdesigner that created the site had put a "overflow:auto;" on the BODY tag, which for some reason made the drop-downs "overflow:hidden;" instead of "overflow:visible;" ... Long story short, either assigning a "overflow:visible;" to the menu container AND/OR removing the "overflow:auto;" from the BODY tag did the trick.
