Where can I find info on "getElementById()"?

What browsers and browser version supports it?

Jon Hanlon will become famous soon enough
IE4 and IE5 support it, so does NN6.

The main difference to using document.all (in IE) is that getElementById will return only the first element of the collection (if the id occurs more than once), whereas document.all returns the whole collection. (getElementByID is equivalent to using the item method on the all collection.)
