Hi
I have a drop down on my form & it contains values 1,2,3.On submit I want to generate no. of textboxes as selected in drop down. eg. if user selects 2 I want to add 2 text boxes on my form & then if he again selects 3 i again want to add 3 more text boxes, so that total I will have 5 textboxes on form so on & so forth..I was able to get it first time but when user selects from dropdown for second time my earlier textboxes are lost.
Any help on this would be appreciated..
Tnx

I don't know if I can help with the specific problem but if you can provide more information about what scripting language (JAVA, PHP, PERL)you are using to create this dynamic form that may help.

Regards,
kevin

If you are generating the new boxes client side with JavaScript, then the document.write is probably overwriting the previous entries. If you are going to keep adding tothe element, you have to save the string and append to it by concatenation.

It would be most helpful if you could post the code of the page or a link. without seeing what you are doing, all we can do is speculate.
