Lightbox Issue

I am redoing my site and was undecided on how to display my portfolio, but I figured I'd give that Lightbox script a try. I downloaded it, threw it into my site as specified (nothing changed). I tacked it onto the first picture in my portfolio, "Lilyflower Publishing", and when I click it, it works. Yet...the bottom caption area does not stay white and I cannot click out of it. I have another script running that will give the user smooth-scrolling, and I feel like something between the two scripts is causing the closing issue. Any hints on the closing aspect and why the caption area is not white?

On what browser have you viewed this??..I tried IE7 and it works opposite the problem. The caption area is white and is able to close when press the "X" during pop-up!.
