Hi -
I will be launching this site in a month or so. This is what the front page will look like, and the rest of the website will follow this design & color scheme.
Keep in mind that none of the links work, the the flash movie's contents arent exactly what I will have, this is just for review to see how compatable it is w/ your computer and what you think of it!
I've ran it in IE and firefox. The only problem I'm having, is that in IE it looks exactly how I want it - in firefox, there seems to be more room around the flash content - which won't show up now that i've uploaded it for some reason, (maybe someone could help me out)
The flash content is missing, which is,
(Um, by the way, you have to make your browser window smaller since it blows it all up.)
Oh yes, and that blank spot next to the "shop by collection" will be filled ASAP.
You get the idea - just imagine that flash movie in the website :D

Not bad, nice color scheme. I'm not familiar with what you are selling and if it goes well with your layout/design but looks good to me. I always like rollover buttons on the links, if you havent thought of putting them in already :D

I think it looks nice. The flash is really going to add a nice touch.

thank you!
I posted this on the forum of the website where I'll be creating my merchadise, and I got negative reviews as far as the flash goes. I'm not creating the entire site of flash, I would never do that, but I thought that it added a nice touch too!
Anyone disagree? Why or why not?
If you were a customer and saw the flash what would be your overall reaction to the flash?
Change the font to some other, verdana would be allot better imho.
FAQ and About should be in other font and in allot bigger role, maybe put them into main navigation as the thing your selling is not the most ovious one.
You have a logo like image in the top left that dont seem to fit with the rest of the page at all.
Your box images are kinda wierd in the bottom as normally image gets border when you hover on it, not when you hover off from it.
Background also seems to be kinda blend, maybe spice it up with somekind of image/pattern.
But hard to say without the flash in the middle that would change the colours.
In general it looks flat, you need more depth in it.
Why so box in general, no curves allowed? :/
Why used tables as a layout?

I like full flash sites if they are laid out nice. I also like flash as accents, like yours.
I make most of my sites with photoshop and edit with 1st page 2000 by avrsoft and that one is freeware. Two years ago everyone told me you cant make a website with photoshop it wont work. well I kept at it and I think they turn out great. Here is a tip. The advise here is usually pretty good. If they are mean about it in the other forum then thats their problem. Dont let it get you down, just keep at it, over time you will get better and better.

Actually, I added a few things that I didnt upload, including some nice looking tabs that include FAQ, contact, etc. - mostly important things that will be easier to access.
Those boxes at the bottom - i just wanted to put information I thought the viewer would find interesting in those boxes, and that hover thing is weird too, LoL. I've fixed that.
I thought about making it the way you suggest, but I want it to showcase my doll designs more than anything else; the tabs I added on my computer definately make things better, and I'm just comfortable with tables, I guess. I will have to use an IFRAME to showcase the designs, since I am using spreadshirt.com to make them, so I dont have much of a choice.
Thanks for the opinions :)

Thanks. I think if flash is used minimally and something that will cause the audience to pay attention, it'll be good. I've actually created a website before w/ Photoshop and it was great, i never had any problems with it, at all.
I've gotten some great advice. I will keep it all in mind and I'm happy I received more than from the other site.
They weren't mean at all, but, I think so many people do one type of website on the service I'm using to put my products on the t shirts (spreadshirt.com), that something different maybe they weren't comfortable with, I'm not sure.
Thanks everyone.

Here is a screenshot of what it looks like now, I think the tabs really made it look better.

I like the layout looks really nice. One thing I just realized the scrolling box on the right did not show up for me in the original post. I didn't know that it was there until looked at the test screen shot. It shows up with IE but I use firefox.

Actually i decided to completely redo the entire layout
This is actually my 2nd layout, so another one won't hurt, I guess :o
After not looking at it for a while, and then looking at it, i could see the things i had to change.
I decided also to try to do a site with mostly CSS. I don't want to be kicking myself in the future if I have to change stuff.
thanks a lot everybody!!!
