Hi,
How much do you guys think I could get for a domain that has over 2000 unique hits a day and around 6000 impressions a day. The domain is http://www.fanaticnetwork.com
I need atleast $500 if I am going to sell but Im still not fully sure.
Thanks,
Paul

Wow that would be amazing, didn't think it would be that much. Thanks for the advice, I was going to post it for around $500 and now I might actually sell. Any other ideas just to make sure I could get around that much?
Thanks,
Paul

put the reserve to $500 - make the minimum/starting bid at 17 bucks - put it for 3 days auction.

Yes but if I could get more then 500 then Im willing to try. I never really wanted to sell the site for 500, I just wanted to see if I could get that. Now for 1000+ I would get rid of it and have more time for my new webaster site that I really care about. I make about 200 a month so there is really no point in selling for 500.
Thanks,
Paul

Well I was about to put it on ebay and getting on there is hell. Well I got through propably 90% of setting it up and what happens, I click the submit button, get an error, push the back button, the 45 minutes I spent filling in the for magically disappears. I will try again. Also I might have to wait till friday as my bank account that I will use for this is currently empty and I dont want to make any deposits until Friday. If you would like to give me $700 for it I will give it to you, if not I will post it on there.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

minors are not allowed to transact on eBay (at least they weren't last time I checked). That being said.....

traditionaly eBay is a poor place to try and sell a website or a domain name. Most unknown websites like yours, will get little attention and very low bids, and well known sites or popular/cult sites get too many non-serious bids in the millions. Do a search for websites or domain names on eBay and you will see what I mean. This is also a bad time of the year to sell websites, wait until between April and Sept to try and sell your website.

But if you feel the need, go for it!

Just curious... I did a search on eBay and did not find any DNs or websites that sold for $320.00 today or yesterday, what was the auction number?

You are a pathetic little boy, lying about a dumb eBay auction, what a looser. But thanks for the laugh.

Well, for a couple of bucks for the listing fee, it might not be worth it to see if there is any interest.

Although, as Kevin said, since you are under 18, you will have to have your parents or someone else list it for you.

Remember though, if you want at least $500, then start the auction at $500. In all the time I have been using ebay, I have never understood the reserve price feature. If you want "x" amount for something, then start it at "x" amount.

Also, be sure you include a link to the live site so that people can check it out. Also include links to your traffic logs if you have them. That way people can track how many hits and how many page views you have had over a period of a couple of months, and this will allow them to see the potential of hits they can get.

Also, make sure you offer the entire site burned onto a cd or cd's to include all html pages and graphics. Make sure tha they know that all affiliate links will be removed beforehand, but that you can give them the names of the companies you use.

Then, make sure that they are paying the transfer fee, and also let them know that once they take posession of the domain name, that they are responsible for finding their own host.

If you do list it, let us know the item number so we can check it out.

Good Luck!

steve, because nobody wants to make the first bid at 500 bucks. i only look for other listings based on the number of bids it has - i will never bid for aynthing that the minimum price is over 40 bucks, why bother? just make the minimum at 1 buck, then u have ur reserve price left. if they dont make the reserve, u dont have to sell it to the highest bidder.

Just an advisory:

Anyone that wants to follow modulus' advice is welcome to, but he has problems with the truth and no personal integrity so I'd take his advice for what its worth, probably nothing. He has a tendency to confuse reality with fantasy so just be careful.

I'm out of this thread, and offer my apologies to Paul.

Modulus, I have a movie web site as well, and I would like to know how many hits and income you get from affiliates as I only get about 10 a day on my site.

p.s. You can add my site to your links if you think that it is good enough ite; www.futuremovies.co.uk

Good way to waste money though, because you still have to pay the listing fees.

Thank you for your advice. I propably will not sell till the summer as I could propably get more hits then and therfor get more money. Also Im sorry Kevin that this got into some kind of war, can't we all just get along. Does anyone have good sites to sell sites in. I looked at afternic.com but couldn't find anywhere to register.
Thank You,
Paul

I found http://www.webmasterbids.com . I don't think it is that good though. They don't charge upfront, however, they take a percentage of your sale (10% for less than $100 and so on...). That's the only one I can think of at the moment though.
