ok this sint a traffic builder thread so i hope it isnt moved

I just want to know about how many hits some of your sites out there. :p

I started my site on 4th Nov 2001 and till now the site has got about 238 Unique Visitors,Including reloads the number of hits is 368.
The site has not got into any search engines yet,so I hope I will get some hits after the site gets into some top search engines.

When I became a webmaster, I noticed that "hits" is somewhat misleading because sites that are in frames get a "hit" for each section downloaded.

Now when I hear a company with X# of hits, I look at the site to see how it's set up and divide by 3 or 4 to get a more accurate picture of page downloads.

This is in no way a response to the person above this post who talks about unique visitors---I know that can be tracked separately.

Audrey - also a LOT of webmasters either unknowingly or knowingly 'confuse' impressions with unique visitors all the time.. they will say: 80000 visitors a month - when that could actually just be impressions....

Anyhow personally I get around 12,000 impressions on my movie vault site a month, so im guessing around 80 unique visitors a day..

My hosting site receives around 780,000 impressions a month, but that doesnt really count :P

The site I work for receives 70,000 impresions a month.

its not worth annoying my visitors... this is only a minor site in comparison to [c9it] ... launches in easter sometime :D
