I'm going to embark on a mission to make the most user friendly BBS (based on ikonboard 2.2) ever... soon. This hacked bbs will be used by younger people 7-11 (oh that includes tony11 :D:D) so it has to be as easy and colourful as possible.

Is there anything that you don't like about ikonboard or vbulletin (this is a vbulletin)?

Are there any special features that could be implemented? ... I've got two which I think will eventually make it into every forum's code, but they are top secret :D

thanks in advance ;)

Oh your gona start a kids (7-11) forum. What is the forum about?
This one is a VBulletin board. This one is really good when it comes to features but when it comes to looks ikonboard looks more appealing.

In one of the forums here I found a link to another forum(vBulletien) where they have icq icons in posts where if one clicks on the icon, then that persons gets added in your icq list.I think you can do that for AIM messengers too.

I just learned that Ikonboard is going to introduce a free hosted version sometime early next year.

The MSN/AIM/ICQ/Yahoo icons will be optional for the board... :D

Vbulletin has sendmail issues, which is why email notification has been turned off. It should have the option of having a 2nd method to send out emails when a message is replied to (like batch processing every fre minutes instead of doing it when the reply button is clicked, which causes a thread to hangif it fails or takes too long).

I seem to remember you blamed your dedi server last time... perhaps members are using fake email addys and this is why it is taking so long.
