run php mysql offline

Where can i download the program that let's you run your own "fake" server at home with php and mysql on Windows? I want to get it so i can test my scripts offline.

the first option is WAMP (Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP) packages... these are usually easy to install for beginners... but this "user friendly" environment does mean that you don't generally see all the possible configuration options...

if you want to learn a bit more about what is going on below the hood, you can simply install Apache (or use IIS if you have XP Pro), MySQL, and PHP yourself and play with the configurations...
